About Open Studio

Open Studio is an Artist-Run Centre dedicated to contemporary print and is located in downtown, Toronto, on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe, the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Haudenosaunee, the Huron-Wendat, and the Chippewa that is home to many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

As a non-profit, charitable organization, Open Studio aims to offer accessible, inclusive and affordable printmaking facilities, programs and services for artists and the public across Canada and abroad. We support artists in the creation and exhibition of contemporary print in an open-minded, safe and collaborative environment. Our vision is to shape the exploration of print as essential, dynamic, and relevant to contemporary culture and creative thought.

We provide a variety of services and experiences including:

Public access to galleries, exhibitions and a print shop
Facility rental for printmakers and artists interested in learning contemporary print media
Public education programs (for beginners and advanced printmakers)
Artist residencies
Tours and demos
Fundraising events
