The Doors Open Toronto 2020 theme is “Open TO Music,” celebrating the past, present and future of Toronto’s multifaceted music scene while exploring the influence and impact of music and sound on the development of Toronto.
For the past 25 years, in studios throughout 401 Richmond, music influencers and innovators have been producing, recording, arranging, mixing and performing diverse and ground-breaking compositions, contributing to the melodic fabric of the City of Toronto. For Doors Open, award winning music professionals in 401 Richmond including Donald Quan of Q Music, Jeff Wolpert of Desert Fish Studios, Gary Honess of Kuhl Muzik, Rob Nicholls DJ, painter and sound artist, and The TELL music gallery and performance space, will all open their studio doors to offer Toronto rare access to the technology and instruments that give life to movie scores, concert performances, and theatrical productions created and appreciated in Toronto and it’s connected international audiences. See the inside of recording studios rarely seen by the public and catch live music performances throughout the building, including on 401’s green rooftop.
Doors Open Toronto provides an opportunity to see inside some of Toronto’s most architecturally, historically, culturally and socially significant buildings across the city.
401 Richmond participates on Saturday ONLY of the Doors Open weekend.
